| Manager, Physician Referral Outreach
This full-time exempt position reports to the Director of Marketing and is responsible for developing and monitoring physician-to-physician and physician-to-hospital referral relations. The essential job function is to identify opportunities for volume growth through the development and execution of aggressive sales and marketing strategies. Understand and assist referring physicians with access to the talent available within the medical staff and hospital programs. Diagnose causes of physician dissatisfaction, alert the appropriate operational manager, and track the successful resolution of identified issues – acting as physician advocate in this regard.
Requires successful independent sales background and experience working with physicians, preferably in a physician relations or physician sales/marketing role; excellent interpersonal skills; good understanding of the medical field and medical terminology; and the ability to needs assess and problem-solve. Requires self-motivation, independent learning, and strong negotiating abilities. At least three years experience working in a healthcare marketing or physician relations setting preferred or at least three years experience working directly with physicians in a related position required. Requires own transportation traveling up to 20 hours per week meeting with referring physicians. Must be able to work flexible hours, ability to attend early morning and evening appointments. Bachelor degree required with Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
